 Looking a the XML dump provided from blogger it appears to be similar to
 what is provided by the direct load API except that the settings, posts,
 pages and comments are all in the same file with a flag to indicate their
 type.

 To make the existing importer work with a different data source would
 require some code restructuring to decouple the processing from the
 downloading of data. Some work in that direction has already been done in
 this version.
