 [attachment:19570.diff] is a UI-free, JS-required functional rough
 outline, mostly uploaded here for progress tracking and any early
 objections. There are meta fields and tabs for selecting a format, all of
 which save. Tabs won't look like that exactly - was just using an existing
 style to keep the patch minimal.
