 asked, why it's not possible to use an embed code for images. Not sure if
 there was a discussion yet, but think of instagram or flickr.

 [attachment:19570.28.patch​] is a first pass. I'm not sure about
 `wp_format_image_id`, but I think it makes it easier to get attachment
 details. It doesn't include the front-end part yet.
