 lessbloat and I discussed the focus state in a previous patch, where they
 were more obvious but had the "depressed" look, which also seemed wrong.
 Suggestions (from anybody) about focus state are welcome. I am also
 largely a keyboard user and so far find them to be serviceable, but we're
 always interested in alternatives.
