#22269: Page template in parent theme root always overrides child
-----------------------------+--------------------------
Reporter: DrewAPicture | Type: defect (bug)
   Status: new | Priority: normal
Milestone: Awaiting Review | Component: Themes
  Version: 3.4.2 | Severity: normal
 Keywords: |
-----------------------------+--------------------------
Noticed in trunk (and later reproduced in 3.4.2) that if a parent theme
has a page template in the theme root, it will always override a like-
named page template in the child theme, regardless of whether it's in the
 root or a sub-directory.

 To reproduce:
 1. Create a page template with the Template Name: X in the root of a
 parent theme.
 2. Create a page template also with Template Name: X in either the root or
 a sub-directory of that parent's child theme.
 3. Assign the page template to a page and view on the front-end.
 4. The parent template (if in the root theme directory) will always
overrule the child theme page template whether in the child root or not.
