 I did some testing on this issue with virtual machine with IE9 browser
 mode set to IE7 and document mode set to IE7 Standards.  I was able to
 confirm the crash error report.

 It was a stack overflow error traced back to imgAreaSelect.  Updating the
 plugin to the latest version 0.9.9 fixed the crashing.
