 Actually, we should be checking whether the post type supports thumbnails.
 Technically both post type and theme must support them for them to
 actually "work", but there's nothing wrong with getting/setting thumbnails
 even if the current theme doesn't support them (because the site could
 change to a theme that does at a later point in time).
