 Alternatively, it could be named WP_HOME_DIR to fit the other constants:
 http://codex.wordpress.org/Determining_Plugin_and_Content_Directories#Constants
 even though WP_HOME isn't WP_HOME_URL...

 Another alternative is to not set the constant in the root index.php but
 leave the check in get_home_path so that it can be set instead in the wp-
 config.php
