 Sounds like a good idea for a plugin.  But, my guess is that the majority
 of users (80+%) could care less, and adding an extra option for
 transparency would only confuse them.  At this point, pretty much anything
 we deploy will work better that the existing color picker (3 out of the 3
 users we tested had trouble with it).
