 I'd like to try to contribute to this, somehow. This has been one of the
 larger pains in the process of building plugins and themes for us at
 StudioPress, I definitely concur that there is a need.

 The only thing I'm unclear about is the scope. What exactly are you guys
 thinking in terms of what the class should actually do and handle? I feel
 like I might be able to work something up based on my experience, but a
 clear list of features would be a lot better than "let's just make it
 better."

 Thoughts?
