 FWIW there are a few plugins out there that do this sort of thing, e.g.,
 [http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/advanced-rss/ Advanced RSS]. But if a
 new action is added, I think it should be more generic and future-proof -
 something like `rss_pre`, maybe.
