 I've been testing in IE8 all the time and it works as expected here. Some
 more info about exactly what happens would be helpful.

 @lioman what @dd32 said, also the plugin should be uninstalled/deleted
 when running the trunk (latest alpha) version of WordPress as it would
 interfere with it.
