 Fixing the dropdown brings up the question of what to do with the post
 status of a new page created under a private parent. Nacin, after you left
 the powwow between sessions in Phoenix, Ryan Duff and I came up with this
 suggestion: When the private parent is chosen, do a bit of JS to change
 the current page's status to private (/draft/future/etc.), gray out the
 visibility and/or status sections and disable their Edit links, and maybe
 put a tiny-print message in that section that the status cannot be changed
 unless a public parent has been chosen.
