Comment:

 As I discussed with nacin on twitter: this issue is not resolved yet, so
 reopening ticket.

 WP_Error returns 'Empty term' with get_term_link() and I'm 100% sure the
 term does exist. Downgrading to 3.0.4 made all the links reappear too.

 The patch that was submitted doesn't work (currently install is on 3.1RC3
 and get_term_link still doesn't work).
