Comment:

 This is the only report I've seen. It is supposed to work, and I can
 confirm it works in 3.0.1.

 Closing as worksforme. You can re-open with steps to reproduce if you can
 replicate it and you feel it is a bug, but you may want to try the
 multisite forum on the support forums: http://wordpress.org/support/.
