 I've tried this with both the upload_path & upload_url_path options blank
 and the media still works for me. I tried both a main site and sub site.
 In the main site, the files in the wp-content/uploads folder don't work
 properly in the admin area anymore with the upload_path blank, but that's
 expected behavior.
