 Would this be a bad place to mention that I don't think tabs are a good
 way to present the menus?

 I should qualify that: Tabs are alright if they can be side-scrolled like
 in Firefox, with buttons and/or the mouse wheel, but methinks that would
 add unnecessary JavaScript complexity.
