 I experienced this issue after converting 3.0-alpha single to multisite
 yesterday.

 Once the conversion was complete, I was unable to log in using Firefox
 3.5.8 ("site is redirecting in a way that will never complete"). I opened
 another browser (Chrome) and could log in without issue. Once I closed
 Firefox and reopened it, I was able to log in again.
