 You could achieve ultimate flexibility by allowing menu items to display
 menus themselves.

 It's possible, from a code perspective, but building a good UI for
 something like that would be quite hard, IMO.

 The semi-flexible route would be to allow each item to display child items
 of it's own, i.e: page items to display child pages down to a certain
 depth, etc.
