 Otherwise it seems like you get no real feedback on pagination, sorting,
 or searching.

 Patch (15580_loading_overlay.diff) cleans up the loading overlay. I've
 added a large version of the loading spinner since the small ones included
 with WP would be easily missed. Works nicely in IE6 too :)
