 I've been using Wordpress in 2 sites, in their production and in
 development environments, having this CDATA replacement totally removed.
 And in all of them I have a plugin that adds CDATA escaped JavaScript to
 the_content.

 I never felt anything bad and don't miss it in anyway in my use.
