 Downside of WPE's approach:
  * Themes that don't support the CSS styling will revert galleries to just
 a single column of images

 Upsides:
  * Removes another XHTML hiccup
  * Doesn't mess with any of the queries
  * Saves on one very quick calculation -- hey, every cycle counts! *grin*
