 Sounds like plugin material to me.

 Most users will not have a need for such a function, Infact, The only
 situations i can think of that would need something like this, are very
 niche cases where other plugins will be needed to make it possible to
 begin with.

 Suggest closing this as wontfix (rather, wontimplement) myself based on
 that..
