 The wpspin_dark.gif & wpspin_light.gif images located at wp-admin/images
 are used as ajax preloaders when updating widgets.
 IMHO they do not feel part of the overall WordPress aesthetic.

 Looking around in that same folder I found other two images (loading.gif &
 loading-publish.gif) that are implemented in other parts of the UI for the
 same behavior.

 Having two different preloaders is inconsistent and detrimental to the
 interface.
