 In fact, it's not one but three strings that should take that into
 account:

 Original strings:

     * Featured |
     * Newest |
     * Recently updated


 fr_FR translation (originally for plugins, so feminine):

     * Mises en avant |
     * Nouvelles |
     * Mises à jour récemment

 For good measure, maybe "Popular" should also be contuextualized
 ('Populaires' is neutral in French, but what about other locales?).
