Comment:

 I still disagree with Denis-de-Bernardy. Caption and alt both describe,
 but they do not serve same function. Alt is for accessibility and caption
 has a display style attached to it (theme dependent). Many people want to
 include an alt tag for accessibility purposes without putting a visual
 caption on their images.

 However, I'm punting due to time constraints.
