Comment:

 Why milestone 2.9 and not 2.8? JS flexibility has improved 2.7 to an
 enourmous extent, why not keep improving the system in this direction as
 soon as possible? There are plugins like Joel Starnes' page mash (which is
 written for mootools, though, I think) that demonstrate the immense
 usefulness of reordering with AJAX. Page mash has been downloaded more
 than 10,000 times, according to the author's home page. Not millions, but
 clearly not a fringe proposal. Thanks for consideration for 2.8!
