 This is exactly what I'm looking for! It doesn't make sense at all to me
 that the user info would not automatically be updated. I'm interested in
 how this can be made into a plugin or in how I can pull updated info for
 the comment author to display in my theme.

 I apologize if this is not the correct place to comment about this, but I
 can't find any information on this feature anywhere else.
