 One other thing I notice as of upgrading to 2.6 is one of my stats
 programs only sees blog/index.php as the visited URL when it should be the
 permalink. I don't know if that has anything to do with this. Just thought
 the get_pagenum_link may somehow be seeing the same thing even when
 viewing a category.
