#6720: Publishing a new page after editing an existing page confuses WordPress

 Priority: normal | Milestone: 2.7
Component: General | Version: 2.5
 Severity: major | Keywords:

If a user edits an existing page (call it page A), then immediately
creates and publishes a new page (call it page B), WordPress returns the
user to page A, not page B.

 '''Steps to reproduce:'''

  1. Go to "Manage > Pages" and select an existing page to edit.
  1. Edit the selected page.
  1. Save your changes.
  1. From the saved page, go to the "Write > Page" screen.
  1. Create a new page.
  1. Publish the new page.
  1. Note that WordPress has returned to the page we edited in step 2, not
the one we just created in step 5. In other words, WordPress didn't return
 to the appropriate place!

'''Expected results:''' WordPress should return to the page we were just
editing, not one we edited a while ago.

'''Actual results:''' WordPress forgot where we were.
