 I am using 2.06 and I am not to sure if it was happening in previous
 versions because I haven't required the feature until recently.

 I am using it for a downloadable Microsoft Word  document not an image
 file. This happens when managing both Posts and Pages.

 If I click one of the tabs  Upload / Browse / Browse All it no longer
 hangs and displays the visual editor instead of the HTML with the
 hourglass/pointer.

 I am guessing a refresh problem with the tinymce?
