 The sanitize_file() function was proposed in ticket #3382, and it appears
 to exist in WPMU, but not in the main WP trunk. However, the current
 revision of xmlrpc.php (r4667) attempts to call this function in the
 mw_newMediaObject() method.

 This will cause the failure of attachment uploads via clients using XML-
 RPC.
