New description:

 One Symptom of this: There's no image preview when I browse all in the
 image uploader just a blue square.

 function wp_get_attachment_thumb_url is buggy

 in wp-includes/post.php line 1459, remove "return false;"

 It was causing some invalid thumbs path (empty) in upload admin.

 This is on SVN 4674
