 I disagree with #2. People aren't going to make their websites unavailable
 to, what, 80% of the browsing population (1) just to promote standards.
 The world out there is a practical one, and the standards-hugging
 developers are a very small fraction of it. To effect change in such a
 Draconian method is, to say the least, not going to work.
