 Functions such as {{{single_tag_title()}}} are needed for use in
 templates, as evidenced by [http://comox.textdrive.com/pipermail/wp-
 testers/2007-August/004886.html this thread].

 Brent Loertscher made a [http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/tag-
 functions/ plugin] that has most of the functionality; it needs to be
 included in core (as [http://comox.textdrive.com/pipermail/wp-
 testers/2007-August/004894.html hinted] by Matt).
