Comment:

 Unfortunately it doesn't seem like there's an existing plugin that would
 suit. It's a good idea, but given that there's no traction and no clear
 way forward, I think the best option here is to close this as
 `maybelater`. If someone comes up with a workable solution or code then
 please feel free to reopen.
