 My current plan on this is to add the Jetpack Search sidebar widget to use
 for filtering and sorting. Here's a screenshot:

 We'll need to play with the CSS a bit of course. I think this comes pretty
 close to matching what your example of booking.com is doing though, so
 sounds like we are on a similar page.

 This does mean that we are going to need a search page that has a sidebar
 designed and built.
