 @iandunn I have fixed the items you have mentioned above.

 @melchoyce I have attached a screenshot. You can still publish pages and
 any other post type. Only Posts would be blocked from posting. The reason
 for this is that Jetpack sends out emails to subscribers when you publish
 the post.
