 I'm the person in question and I own my company.  I prefer to have a logo
 and not my face on the plugins because I'm no longer a freelancer.  I'm
 working hard to build a brand for my company that is not just associated
 with me as a person, hence the use of consistent handle that is company
 related rather than personal on social media and WP.org.

 I suppose I could theoretically create a login for .org that is related to
 my personal identity just for WordCamp, but I would never log into it
 again or do anything else with it, so it wouldn't be the best
 representation of how I contribute as a whole.

 Not sure if that clarifies things at all :-)
