Comment:

 My thought has always been that having the extra field for speakers was a
 bug, not a feature, and I planned on removing it someday when I had the
 time. My thinking was, "Why ask organizers to fill out two fields, when we
 can just ask for the username and automatically pull the email address
 from that?"

 I wasn't aware that anyone wanted to intentionally override it, though, so
 maybe there's a good reason I've just never thought of; can you describe
 the use case for that?
