 If the Stable Tag line is missing entirely, then "trunk" is assumed.

 If Stable Tag is set to trunk, then trunk it is.

 If Stable Tag is set to XYZ, and /tags/XYZ exists, then that is used.

 If Stable Tag is set to ABC, and /tags/ABC does not exist, then "trunk" is
 assumed.
