 +1 from me. @jenmylo or @melchoyce, do you have any thoughts on it?

 I think including the @ symbol is necessary to make it obvious that it's a
 username.

 The Profiles theme isn't open source yet (see #1152), so that will need to
 happen first, or someone with commit will need to make time for it.
