Comment:

 I totally agree. This was planned as a phase two for per-component
 subscriptions (which itself is a phase two of #127). You could opt either
 for *all* activity for the components you selected, or just *new* tickets
 for those components. I wasn't sure if it made sense to allow that to be
 fine-grained (as in, you could set it on a per-component basis) or not.
 Maybe it'll just be a completely standalone option for now, "Notify me
 with each new ticket," independent of component.

 I'll see if I can get this coded up when I launch the per-component
 subscriptions (probably by early next week).
