[wp-hackers] ipad & wordpress for ios - mini app or "plugin"?

Hi all,

I'm very experienced with WordPress but I have zero experience with iPad apps.

I have a client project that includes a very complex front-end form
for "making a pledge". It does actually register the person's details
using an account with a specific role, but (1) they can't login (as
yet - user accounts were used for potential future login requirement),
and (2) there's a lot of custom data included in the process.

The client wants something for their staff who are out at events
collecting pledges to quickly enter basic details. The front-end form
is usable, but it's heavily designed with a lot of extra stuff to
"hold the hand" of users who are doing it for the first time (and will
probably only ever do it a few times at most). These staff are doing
one after another, and they need something without the hand-holding
bells and whistles.

I wondered about the WP for iOS app. Am I misunderstanding apps by
thinking I might be able to hop on the back of this with my
stripped-down form? It's for admins / editors only, that's why I
thought of it. Can apps have "plugins"? Or would I be looking at
developing a little app from scratch?

Of course I can just create a new page in the standard web admin -
just wondering what the options are.

Many thanks,

Steve Taylor
