@Mike: using Flickr would complexify the process both for the client
and for the theme author. In my case, the theme is displaying image
attachments automagically at a defined size, so the user only has to
attach images to the post. I want to keep it that simple for the user.

@Simon: I will check out the WPlupload plugin. "Resizing on
client-side" - sounds brilliant, I didn't know that there is a way to
achieve this in the browser. That's actually way more than I was
asking for :)

@Otto: that's great news, one less plugin needed!
