[wp-hackers] [GSoC] HTML5'ify Themes proposal draft

A quick review of it:
 * The next default theme, 2011, is said to include more HTML5, no public
development is underway that I'm aware of, It'll debut with 3.2 hopefully
 * It's Summer of Code, Not documentation, so writing guidelines is kinda
out.
 * A tool to convert themes to HTML5 seems a bit useless IMO, Themes
generally include pretty complex styling on header/sidebar elements and
you'll find it incredibly hard to work reliably with those. HTML5 also
doesnt "give" anything to most themes, they're nice elements to take
advantage of.. but you write a theme with HTML5 in mind, or with XHTML in
mind.. it's a waste of time to convert to another one simply for the point
of changing to it.

IMO, I wouldn't put too much effort into that propsal as it's unlikely to be
chosen based on the above..
