Yes, very much.  I discussed with Andrew Nacin at WordCamp Savannah but he didn't seem too concerned about it; maybe I read him wrong.

Also, Beau Lebens though it wasn't an issue for many of the core developers given they are not really deploying client sites (except Mark.)

Maybe those who are need to collaborate on solving this problem and get some critical mass around the solution(s) first?
