[wp-hackers] Should Monthly Archive Pages ever return 404?

If you were to think of your blog powered completely by HTML
(hand-coded), then returning 404 on months that have no posts makes
sense. Since you never made any posts that month, you would have never
created the archives for that month. Therefore, that page would not be
found, which is what 404 is for.
