[wp-hackers] How to create theme options interface?

Hi all,

I'm new to wordpress coding. I am currenlty creating a wordpress theme. 
I would like the add some configurations interface for the theme in the 
admin. How is this done? I understand that admin_menu hook is used in 
plugins to accomplish this but how is this done when making themes?
