[wp-hackers] need help in plugin writing

Hi there! ia have couple of questions..
1) how can i make a plug-in to add his additional optins in the WP's link
editor's advanced tab?
2) when i am adding a new blogroll link the link_updated field in wp_link
table in wordpress database is not updateing, means the date always remains
0000-00-00 00:00:00, what is the problem may it be left from the previous
versions of WP for plug-in compatablity and is unused now? i'm using WP
2.8.3 btw
 any kind of help is appreciated, thanks in advance :)
